Building communities where everyone has a decent place to live

"The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The meaning of life is giving your gift away."

– David Viscott

Equal Housing Opportunity

The ReStore works with volunteers and community residents to receive and resell donations that generate funds to help the affiliate fulfill their mission of improving neighborhoods and eliminating poverty housing in Dickinson County by building simple decent homes and selling those homes to eligible families.

The Iron River ReStore is closed permanently due to catastrophic roof failure.

Our ReStore offers pickup and delivery services. Call or stop by to schedule an appointment.

The ReStore is MORE than a used material retailer. Each year the ReStore recycles more than:

  • 250,000 lbs of scrap metal
  • 5,000 lbs of cardboard
  • 1,500 lbs of copper & other high value metals
  • 300 lbs of lithium-ion, NiCad, lead-acid, and other tool related batteries
  • 100 inefficient and/or inoperable refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners.

All of these items would have found their way to the landfill or been dumped and abandoned along our county roads.

We sell inexpensive building and remodling materials.  Start here to learn what merchandise we have to offer.

Volunteering is a great way to support Habitat’s mission, meet interesting people and learn new skills!

The majority of the merchandise sold is from donations.
